La Casa Clu
Website Redesign & Donor Platform
Setting the scene:
❋ web design and development ❋ brand identity ❋ fundraising & donor engagement
❋ digital strategy ❋ content strategy
La Casa Clu is a community & resource centre in rural Mexico had real impact and no way to show it. By rebuilding their bilingual site from the ground up, organizing their story, brand, and a recurring donation system from scratch, a key factor in winning the 2025 Juguetón, which gifted 200+ toys to local children.
The Challenge
Despite the depth of their impact, La Casa Clu's digital presence didn't reflect the work they were doing in the community. Their website lacked the structure and storytelling needed to communicate their mission, while inconsistent branding and disorganized assets made it difficult to present a cohesive identity. On top of that, the absence of a reliable online donation system created unnecessary barriers for potential supporters and limited fundraising opportunities.
1. Discovery & content audit.
First, a conducted a full audit of existing materials, photos, program documentation, organizational history was needed as much of which existed in fragmented or undocumented form. Content was then consolidated this into a single, structured narrative suitable for a public-facing site.
Approach
2. Digital strategizing & tool selection
Evaluation of the client's technical capacity and budget constraints in order to select tools that would be sustainable post-launch. We ended up choosing WordPress for cost-effectiveness and to give room to grow in case their needs changed, and Donorbox for donation processing, selected for its low cost and native support for tiered, recurring donations.
3. Brand-aligned design execution
Crafted a visual system that brought La Casa Clu's personality to life—balancing warmth, playfulness, and credibility to better reflect its role within the community.
Architected the website as a bilingual experience from the ground up, developing a content structure that preserved the organization's story and messaging across both English and Spanish audiences.
4. Outcome.
The redesigned site gave La Casa Clu a complete, accurate representation of their programs and impact for the first time, along with a functioning donation funnel supporting one-time and recurring tiered giving.
In 2025, La Casa Clu was selected to receive the Juguetón donation program, resulting in over 200 toys gifted to children in San Ignacio. Program judges specifically identified the website as an influential factor in the selection decision.
